Acrylic painting, technique in which pigments are mixed with hot, liquid wax. After all of the colours have been applied to the painting surface, a heating element is passed over them until the individual brush or spatula marks fuse into a uniform film.

Preface
Here is something profound, strong and delicate. Here are paintings and works in dialogue and counterpoint. The paintings in their original are enormous, as if only such huge and generous scale could accommodate and express the themes which are their subjects.
The paintings are creative, evocative and self- authenticating. They arise from an intense, personal vision of the artist, Sarahleigh Williams. They are the fruits of encounter between her painter's inward eye and certain themes of, and around, the Incarnation of Jesus Christ the Son of God. In that encounter lie the seeds of the pictures' power. They can stir thoughts and realisations in us all, enriching our lives and our perceptions.
We are glad beyond measure to display these
pictures in the setting of Exeter Cathedral and grateful
for the dedicated vision of the artist.
- Richard Eyre, Dean of Exeter
